Programs for Treasured Boaters:

The TI Tackers are The Club’s women’s sailing and social group, which is a member of the FL Women’s Sailing Association. You can find them busy each week from October through April with a range of activities, such as sailing practice, interclub regattas, social events, and lunch meetings.  If you would like to learn sailing basics or increase your skills, race in regattas or help on race and social committees, or just love being around boats and being part of the fun and friendship of a great group, there’s a place for you with the Tackers!

Here’s your chance to meet and socialize with both new and long-standing club members who share the same love for “messing around in boats”!  Club boating members cruise their boats to various destinations on the west-central Florida coast. Each cruise provides amenities and special area activities specific to that location. These are great opportunities to enjoy boating with family and friends on the beautiful waters within easy reach of Club TI. Many locations have rooms available overnight, for those who you do not own a boat or would rather drive and meet up with the cruisers by land.

Club TI has become a USCG approved site for SEA SCHOOL to hold  OUPV 6-pack Captains License courses.  We continue to offer the OUPV 6 pack Captain’s Course as well as the upgrade 100-ton Master Mate Course. These courses are open to Club TI members and their guests as well as residents of the greater Tampa Bay community.

The Dockmaster’s Office also sponsors workshops and presentations from our local US Coast Guard Auxiliary  flotilla on a variety of nautical themes such as GPS technology, boating safety, hurricane preparedness, emergency boat handling and other maritime information.

If you and anyone you know are interested in signing up for the next course or would like more information, please contact the Dockmaster’s  Office at  727-367-4511 ext. 236.

Cruises leave from the club marina and then cruise out onto Boca Ciega Bay and along the Intracoastal Waterway. It’s a fun opportunity for everyone – adults and kids – to watch dolphins play, hear about local Boca Ceiga bay history  and enjoy a spectacular Florida sunset on the water!

Plan to stay cool and have fun when the club Dockmaster’s Office partners up with Captain Allen from Allen’s Aquatic Adventures   one designated Saturday a month throughout the summer. Enjoy a day of water towing activities including water skiing, tubing, knee boarding and more!

Our Captain’s Dinners are open to treasured marina members and nautically inspired member guests to come and share their passion for boating. Before indulging in a double-entree al fresco out by the pool pavilion, mariners are welcome to join in a Marina Mixer to make introductions.

Club TI offers a sheltered harbor setting for our annual Youth Summer Camp Program, with sailing as one of the main activities, currently focusing on introduction to and beginning sailing. Besides sailing, the camp itinerary features sailing, tennis, and swimming along with a variety of other activities selected for each day, such as arts & crafts, fishing, games, movies, and even hands-on culinary activities, guest presenters and field trips! The program runs for five weeks from the second week of June to the middle of July.

The biggest event of the year for The Club TI Marina is our presentation of the Annual Treasure Island Holiday Lighted Boat Parade. The boat parade is held on a weekend evening in December and is open to the public. Contact the club’s Dockmaster’s Office for all the specifics on boat registration requirements for participation in the parade, parade sponsorship details and information on entry to the pre-parade party around the club’s pool pavilion followed by the Awards Celebration.
